The
Supervisory Committee is responsible for monitoring and evaluating credit
union activities. The Board of Directors appoints this committee which works
on the members’ behalf to ensure that the highest degree of integrity is
maintained in the credit union.
This
committee supervises and conducts surprise cash counts at the main and
branch offices. The chairperson may attend informational conferences
designed to broaden credit union procedural knowledge. The chairman will in
turn share this valuable knowledge with other committee members. In
addition, the chairperson reviews the credit union’s annual state
examination results and is responsible for scheduling the credit union’s
annual audit.
This
year’s supervisory committee takes great pleasure in reporting that the
financial records of the credit union are accurate and there are adequate
internal controls which are consistently used in the daily operations of the
credit union.
The
North Carolina Department of Commerce (Credit Union Division) made their
examination of your credit union in March of this year and no significant
issues or concerns were discovered.
The North Carolina Credit Union League performed our annual audit in
September of this year. Again, no significant issues or concerns were
recorded in the annual audit report. The credit union will be utilizing the
North Carolina Credit Union Leagues audit services for our year end audit.
I would
like to thank my colleagues for their faithful service and devotion while
working on this committee.
Sincerely,

Brenda Bullock, Chairperson
